O Lord, our God,

As we draw near to the light of Bethlehem, send your messenger to prepare our hearts. Teach us your paths of truth and love, leading the humble to your covenant of mercy. Fill us with wonder at your hand upon us; open our lips to praise you, and make us ready for the Saviour’s coming
